Corporate
accountability emerged at the WSSD PrepCom 2 as a cross-cutting
theme, spurred in part by Friends of the Earth's weekend unveiling
of their corporate accountability convention proposal. Many NGOs are
interested in a campaign for corporate accountability, and the issue
was highlighted by several other major groups during the dialogue
sessions. It is likely that the ToBI network will serve as an active
tool to bring together various NGOs around this issue. (Link via UN's
